Registration is now open
Our seventh Camp YMCA/Friendship in partnership with the South Shore YMCA, a 5-day camping experience at Camp Hayward in Sandwich, MA, will be held from Sunday, August 27 to Thursday, August 31.
Campers must be 22 years old and older by the start of camp in order to attend. A registered nurse is present at all times to administer medications and address any health concerns. Nutritious meals, which will accommodate dietary restrictions, are provided by the YMCA staff. If your camper has any dietary restrictions, please notify us before camp so that the dining staff can prepare accordingly.
Because of the popularity of Camp YMCA/Friendship, we accept camp forms on a first-come, first-served basis. To access camp registration forms, please see below. ALL forms must be completed and returned for your loved one to be registered in camp.
Camp Hayward is a great camp facility that is welcoming, open, enthusiastic and capable. Campers will enjoy outdoor activities, develop new skills, make and deepen friendships, develop self-confidence and have fun. The men’s and women’s cabins are each equipped with 5 bunk beds. Men’s and women’s bathing/restroom cabins are located a short distance away from the cabins. We have a core group of staff members who will be supervising campers along with several committed volunteers. If you know anyone interested in volunteering at camp, please contact Gina Froio at 781-659-8202, ext 20.
This year we are excited to announce a NEW one-night stay for Friendship Home members who may not be interested in camping for one week. Openings are limited to 5 campers who will stay with us on Wednesday, August 30th. Click here for more information. Any interested campers must submit the same required camper registration forms listed below.
Once all information and payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation verifying your loved ones spot at Camp YMCA/Friendship 2017. We will also have a mandatory camper/family meeting with YMCA and Friendship Home staff to discuss any questions you might have as well as review current requirements for ANY/ALL medicines needed during camp.
As always, we welcome your suggestions and if you have any questions, please contact Gina Froio 781-659-8202, ext. 20.
Required forms are available below. Please print and return to Gina Froio.
